If you're in or around Des Moines, Iowa this weekend, I suggest you drop any and all current plans and stop by Market Day! ;)

Market Day is a monthly indie fair featuring art, vintage, found items, and handmade goods. The event is indoors, free to attend, and coincides with the downtown Des Moines Farmers' Market.

When: Saturday, October 30th, 9:00am - 2:00pm
Where: Ahern-Pershing Warehouse, 300 SW 5th Street, Des Moines, IA

There's street parking, several lots nearby, and even a big 'ol bike rack! OOOH, and FOOD! Get your snack on with gourmet cupcakes from DarbyCakes and a booth full of breakfast burritos. YUM.

This might be my absolute favorite Etsy treasury, EVER! I'm pretty sure my heart skipped a beat when I first laid eyes on all those minty greens and soft blues. I don't know what it is, but ever since I was teeny tiny I have LOVED soft colors such as these. "Seafoam Green" was the name of my favorite pastel marker...I'd beg my mom to buy the whole pack, just so I could have that one. ;)

orchard art house - grand opening!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I. love. fall. Fuzzy sweaters, pumpkin spice candles, hot apple cider...the list goes on and on. And what better way to kickstart the season than with a party?

This Saturday, September 25th, marks the grand opening of The Orchard Art House, Erin's labor of love and dream come true. Over the past year she and her husband, Ben, have been working tirelessly to transform what was once a guest house into an adorable cottage/studio/gallery to inspire and house Erin's fabulous work. She is a jewelry designer, fashion maven, singer, songwriter, musician...I'm convinced the girl can do anything!

The grand opening will highlight Erin's stunning jewelry line and also include work from over 15 local artists, live music, an outdoor movie, children's activities, and much more. When Erin contacted me back in February about participating, I couldn't wait...and now it's here!

When: Saturday, September 25th, 3pm - 10pm
Where: 22490 Murray Street, Excelsior, MN
